About the City of Riverside
With a population of 250,000, Riverside lies 60 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, near the base of the San Bernardino Mountains. It is within easy driving distance of most major recreational and cultural centers in Southern California. The J. Paul Getty Museum, The Music Center in Los Angeles, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Rose Bowl, The Huntington Library, and the Norton Simon Museum are easy to reach, as are beaches, the San Bernardino and Angeles National Forests, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Mojave Desert.
