Graduate Programs

For online information about our M.A. and Ph.D. programs, go to: Graduate Programs

Robin Jeshion is the graduate faculty advisor in the department. Any general inquiries about our programs should be sent to her. She can be reached at: robin.jeshion@ucr.edu.

If you have questions concerning application to our Ph.D. program, please contact Paul Hoffman, the chair of the admissions committee. His e-mail address is: paul.hoffman@ucr.edu

Application to the Ph.D. Program:

We encourage you to complete the Preliminary Information Form. The Preliminary Information goes only to the Philosophy Department and allows us to consider your interests and qualifications before we receive the official Graduate Division application (which usually takes longer to complete). In addition, you will need to complete the official UCR Graduate School Application. This is the application that serves as the "official" application to the Philosophy Department's graduate program.
