Professor Cranor’s research interests in recent years has focused on philosophic issues concerning risks, science and the law, writing on the regulation of carcinogens and developmental toxicants, the use of scientific evidence in legal decisions, the idea of acceptable risks, protection of susceptible populations, and how society might approach the regulation of new technologies and toxicants.
Professor Mark Wrathall has been awarded a faculty fellowship from The Templeton Foundation for his research titled “The Philosophy and Theology of Immortality.” He will be on fellowship for the 2014-15 academic year at Christ Church, Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
