Following a prolific career in the visual, literary and performing arts, Amit Mediratta obtained his B.A. at the National University of Ireland, Galway. As an undergraduate, Amit was awarded multiple prizes and scholarships, including the prestigious Peel Prize. At present, he is writing a major thesis on Nietzsche and tragedy, while simultaneously devoting himself to the composition of poetry and music.

Amit joined the Philosophy Department at UCR in April 2014, by invitation, as a visiting scholar.
